September Santa

“You better watch out.  You better not cry.  You better not pout, I’m telling you why.  Santa Claus is coming to town!”

Don’t laugh now but Santa is making his rounds already!  In fact, last Wednesday, he came to our house and dropped off some very pretty presents.  I have a stinking feeling that he came from Japan.

He left this package for Abby…

Nice packaging, ei!

That apple with the Hello Kitty image is a magnet!

These are the contents…

A doodle thingy (this generation’s magic slate. hahaha!)

A new food container for Abby’s school lunches

The cutest chopsticks!

And last but not the least, a Hello Kitty bakeshop playset.

How’s that for a Hello Kitty showcase?  I’m really beginning to think Santa’s toy factory is in Japan and not in the North Pole!  Or maybe, he’s really the man behind Sanrio?  Hmmm.

The best part is, Santa thought I’ve been nice, too, and left a present for me as well!  Weeee!

My new baby…as in Baby-G.  Tee hee!  So it’s not an Omega or a Cartier or a Movado or a Breitling or a Tag Heuer (parang Pay Per Post marketplace ah!).  Still.  It’s from Santa.  That makes my Baby-G priceless. ;)  Baka sa Christmas…Cartier na.  Nyahahaha! :P

I guess the month of September really does usher in the Christmas season.  Merry Christmas! :)

oOo

I’d like to share a little secret.  But promise me you won’t tell Abby.  Promise?  Ok, I loved Abby’s Hello Kitty bakeshop playset so much that yesterday, while Abby was napping, I purposely allowed myself to regress a few years (make that lots of years!) and played with Abby’s toys.  Hee hee.  Come and play with me again!

The playset reminds me so much of Bread Talk.  I am just amazed at the details that went into each and every piece in the set.

Look at the trays and the tongs!  Cuuuute!  Oh, and Hello Kitty is cute, too, of course! :D  Grab a tray and a pair of tongs and let’s head over to the bread counters.

The line starts here…

What do you feel like eating?  Take your pick!  I can’t make up my mind so I’ll just have one of each! :D  Why complicate life, right?

Is it too much if we have a French bread, too?  They’re kinda huge, you know!  As tall as Kitty.  Hee hee.  Perhaps for take-out?

Let’s grab a drink from the fridge and pay for our treats.  My treat!  Gosh, I’m hungry!

I’m glad to finally sit down and eat.  *munch, munch, burp!* :D

What do you think?  Cute diba?  Thanks for playing with me.  Next time ulit! . ;)

There’s one more thing I want to share.  Here are some clues.  My current reads…

I found what I think is a good way to make myself useful.  It’s something I’ve been wanting to do since last year as my little way of giving thanks for all the blessings we have received, continue to receive, and will receive.  I volunteered to become a Religious Education teacher (yes, a catechist!) in our parish.  I was asked to submit an online application to the diocese which I accomplished last Sunday.  The parish, for a very very small fee, conducts Religious Education classes for children from pre-kindergarten (3-year olds) to high school.  The teachers are all volunteers and unfortunately, there is a bit of a shortage of teachers.  I so wanted to do this and you can imagine just how happy it made me when I found out I was accepted…on the same day Santa came to visit!  Weee!  I was beyond thrilled.

I’ll be teaching kindergartners.  I met some of my students already.  3 of them!  Nyahahaha!  I have to admit, I’m a little nervous.  I have no teaching experience whatsoever except those times in school when I’m asked (more like forced!) to report on something.  Nevertheless, I am happy and excited and ecstatic and happy again.  Hee hee.  I thank God for making this happen and for allowing me to thank Him in a more special way.

Whisper a little prayer for me, please, that I may be a good and effective teacher.

What a wonderful way to end the week, hurricane Ike notwithstanding.  ;)

You may  have heard about Hurricane Ike hitting Texas over the weekend.  Thank you for your prayers.  Don’t worry about us!  We are and we’ll keep safe. :)

Have a fantabulous weekend, y’all!    Cheers and God bless!
