Update Buffet

Mabuhay! :D  How long has it been since my last update?  Hmm…just a couple of days…not bad.   But considering I only updated this site once last week, that’s actually not good at all. *toink*  Sorry!  I’ve been very preoccupied.

Let me fill you on on what we’ve been up to lately…

Shamu’s Happy Harbor

On August 24, we went to Sea World (again!) to see the Backyardigans.  But the highlight of our visit wasn’t seeing them, it was the time we spent at Shamu’s Happy Harbor, a huuuuge labyrinth of nets, slides, tunnels, and everything the spells fun.  It was our first time to hang-out in that area of Sea World.

See what I meant by labyrinth?  Crazy isn’t it?

Of course, there was no way we’ll let Abby go at it all by herself.  So Daddy accompanied her…every step of the way!

And every crawl, too!

They emerged triumphant from one tunnel!  Abby points to the next one!

There’s Hubby, getting ready to jump off to the net.

Here’s the irresistable princess making her grand exit!

Poor Hubby!  He is visibly tired!  Hahaha!  At this point, he was thinking, “ang haba pa ng gagapangin…at nauna na ang anak ko!“  *bawls over with laughter*

I have a heart, you know.  So I went on the other rides with Abby.  Like this paint can ride, which is similar to the popular dizzying teacups. :D

Abby and I went on a ferris wheel, too!  And I hate ferris wheels!  Hahaha! :P

I would have gotten on this ride with Abby but it’s going to be a while before we can do that.

See?  She’s still got a lot of room to fill.

As always, Abby won for herself the grand prize in one of the arcade games.

She won a small Kung Fu Panda, too.  We took home 3 other small unattractive stuffed toys. :D

That day, we didn’t see any of the Sea World show.  Maybe this month, when we go see Billy Ray Cyrus.  Kidding. :P

Ikea Labor Day Weekend Sale

We checked out the Ikea Labor Day Weekend sale on August 30th.  While they had some stuff which were upto 75% off, they were things we didn’t really need just yet.  These were the only sale items I bought…

Gift wrappers which were only $0.50 for a pack of 3 rolls and

a red fitted sheet worth $8.00 (regular price is $16.00).

I have become fond of red beddings as far as the master bedroom is concerned.  It’s a feng shui thing.  Red on the bed is supposed to bring, uhm, heat into the room.  Hahaha! :P  Whether red works or not, I’ll have to keep to myself.  Let’s just say since we got to Austin, our bed has never been without red.  Mwahahaha!

Olympic Swimmer in the Making

Soon, we’ll be signing Abby up for swim lessons.  She’s ready.  She can now go in the water for brief periods without a floater.  :)  Woot woot!   We’ll just have to find a way to squeeze swim lessons into her schedule.  As it is, she’s already a very busy 4-year old.  She spends half the day in school everyday.  Plus, she has gym, dance and religious education classes.  She started attending religious education classes last week.  That’s how Catholic children learn about the faith if they don’t go to a Catholic school. ;)

Here are Abby’s latest swim pics, taken on September 1st…

Before I go, I would like to wish a very special lady, a very happy birthday.  Mama Mary, happy birthday!!! Thank you for always praying for us, for bringing our petitions closer to God, and for putting in a good word for us to the Father.

Belated birthday greetings go to my favorite sister, Claire and my niece, Kylah, who celebrated their birthdays on September 7th and 5th, respectively.  I love you, Claire!  I love you, Kylah!  We can all have one grand celebration for all the birthdays and special occasions we didn’t get to celebrate together.  That would be 10 birthdays plus Christmas and New Year times the number we’ve missed by the time we are reunited. :D

Have a great week ahead, y’all!  Think happy and positive thoughts!  Cheers!
