Conversation over dinner last Saturday:
Me: Saan tayo bukas (Abby’s birthday)?
Hubby: Ikaw. Kahit saan.
Me: Tokyo Steakhouse na lang. Dun naman tayo palagi pag may special occasion.
Hubby: Puwede
Abby: Japanese again?
Me: You don’t want sushi?!
Abby: No.
Me: What do you want to eat?
Abby: Pizza.
Me: What do you want to do tomorrow?
Abby: Go to Chuck E. Cheese.
And so she had her way. It was her birthday anyway, giving her veto power over her parents’ food and activity choices. It came out cheaper, too! Hee hee. Besides, our ultimate goal was for her to have fun. Close to three hours at Chuck E. Cheese’s spells fun all right! Even for Hubby and me. ;) 80 game tokens had a lot to do with it. :D

Every bit the picture of a happy birthday girl.

Obligatory father and daughter pic.

And the obligatory mother and daughter “seeing double” pic.
Here’s the obligatory slide show. :D
In the evening, we partied with our Austin family, not at our house but at Bet’s (my dear friend). :D Between Bet’s three boys and her sister’s three girls, it was an instant party! We took care of the noodles, roasted duck and cake. Bet took care of the baked chicken and her 12-year old niece, Winona, took care of another dessert. Hubby, Abby and I were glad we ended the day with them. We had loads of fun and laughter as always.

L-R: Jezie, Winona, Milo, Abby, twins Mico and Miyo, Ren

Hubby and I joined the picture with Abby and our adopted pamangkins.

Two more days before Abby’s week-long birthday celebration finally draws to a close. Tomorrow, she’ll have a small party, to which she invited her classmates. We’re all excited already.
And another fun-filled weekend awaits.
Have a wonderful weekend, y’all! :D

ethan loves chuck e cheese’s din =)
Hi Em! Iyan naman ang matagal ko nang sinasabi eh. Hahaha! Pero may iilang kailangang magpacheck-up ng mata sa lalong madaling panahon! Hee hee! :D
Happy happy birthday to dear Abby.
naku, talaga namang to the highest level ang celebration. ang daming different parties held ah. what more pa kaya, pag turn nya ng 7th or 18th?
love the third pic of you and Abby. parang pinagbiyak na bunga kayo dyan ni Abby. hers and your haircut reinforces it.
Hi Feng! Thank you so much for the birthday greetings! Ganiyan talaga ang pamilya namin, kahit simple celebration, all out! Saka mas masarap magcelebrate pag birthday ng bata. :D
I’m happy Feng dahil you have perfect vision at nakita mo ang katotohanan. Hahaha!:D
belated happy birthday to your little one. she is a carbon copy of you!
Hi Jo! Thank you for the birthday greetings! :D I agree with you…100% percent. ;)
Weng siyempre what Abby wants, Abby gets… it’s her birtday naman eh. Who said Japanese is the in thing with kids… ikaw talaga… pizza and games dapat.
It is so nice that you have Bet and family to keep you guys company.
Hi Keith! Promise, Abby loves sushi! Hahaha! Dito sa US, official birthday fare yata ang pizza among Americans. :D And that’s absolutely fine with us. ;) Hindi yata madaling magluto ng pansit ano?! We’re very blessed that God gave me a long lost friend and her family to be our family here in Austin. :D
happy bday ulit, abby.
and like your daughter, nicho’s the same way — ang walang kamatayang chuck e cheese almost every week end. hehehe ;)
Hi Nell! Talaga? Every week kayo sa Chuck E. Cheese’s? Medyo magastos rin yun ha! Nageenjoy din kaming mag-asawa sa CEC at nakikihati sa tokens ni Abby! Hahaha!
