On My Own
Mabuhay! Welcome to my new home. :) I’m loving my address: http://munchkinmommy.com. It’s so…ME! Wiii! You don’t have any clue how close I was to losing my dotcom of choice. Well, I did lose it for a few weeks, which prompted me to buy the second best address (munchkinmommy.net). I was heartbroken, of course, because for the longest time, that domain name, MY domain name, was available. And just when I was ready to stake my claim on it, it was gone! Ugh! I scolded myself for not having bought it early enough. I just can’t imagine living in any other address, albeit virtually! In my mind, I was cursing whoever it was who “stole” my address. So much for happy thoughts! Hahaha! Still, I remained hopeful and went back to my happy thinking self. And waddaya know?! The next time I checked, my dotcom was available again! Woohoo! This time, I made sure I have full ownership, not only in my mind, but on paper as well. :) *does a dance of joy ala Balki* So here I am and here we are.
As you can see, there’s still so much work to be done. I haven’t fully unpacked my boxes yet. Hee hee. I have to get myself a theme (done as of 11:36pm!), re-embed the videos and slideshows that are not working (except the ones on the homepage, which I worked on already!), work on the sidebar, get myself a few plugins and widgets, etcetera, etcetera. Nevertheless, I’ve never felt so at home on the net as I do now. It’s just going to get a lot more homey from hereon.
We have fun and busy days ahead of us. Tomorrow, we’re off to Dallas. On Friday, we’re off to California. Oh, and I haven’t told you about our 4th of July weekend yet! I’ll do that real soon. I’m hoping before the day is over. For now, I’m off to the laundry room. Hee hee.
